Through sculptures made of wood, metal, and ceramic, Chloé Royer explores the representation of plants and marine animals: “Their appearances, both graceful and unsettling, reflect the fascinating duality they embody, oscillating between vulnerability and danger. The sculptures are interconnected, some taking on long, imposing shapes reminiscent of hook-like creatures, while others, smaller in scale, punctuate the ground and evoke claws with varied contours, reminiscent of both sea anemones and carnivorous plants.
