Physical Description of the Last Human Beings II by Uffe Isolotto

The silicone parts are test pieces for We Walked the Earth at the Venice Biennale 2022. Here recycled to create a new narrative on the interface between humans and their habitats. Uffe Isolotto finds the old tools interesting, since they become alien to us, when technology changes the way we live and gives us stair climbing carts and washing machines and synthetic fabrics.

The technology changes our bodies, with changes in the use of applied force in daily chores, so it makes sense for me to talk about, and show, the body when working with tools. The hybridisation of the body and the tool is therefore a quite obvious take on this. – Uffe Isolotto
